SFMC Board of Directors

The SFMC Board of Directors represents many of the constituencies that we serve and therefore has a clear understanding of the pressing needs of many of our clientele. With seventeen dedicated people upholding our mission and vision and overseeing the governance of the center, we have a broad base of support and stability. Further, the diversity of the board adds to our collective strength and enhances our mission driven work. Listed below is the Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Mountain Center.

Letter From Our Board Chair

November 2007

Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement and pride that I write to you regarding this past year at the Santa Fe Mountain Center. We have seen an amazing amount of support not only from our faithful donors but from new local and national arenas as well. In 2005, the Board of Directors and Staff devised a new strategic plan for the SFMC with eight goals to be accomplished by 2008. As we arrive at the end of 2007, we can proudly say that six of these goals have been achieved and the last two goals we wish to accomplish are currently in progress.

With an outstanding Executive Director at the helm, and a professional, well-trained and focused staff and Board of Directors, the SFMC team has succeeded in keeping our promise to the communities we serve and to our supporters. We are collaborating with national and local organizations to expand our reach to those individuals who may not currently be able to experience our programs. We have diversified our funding sources as well, looking outside of New Mexico for support of our programs, and developing our relationships with those supporters close to our home. We have established a permanent home for the Mountain Center and look forward to developing our roots at our peaceful and inspirational Tesuque location. We are constantly planning for the future and for the long term stability of our organization.

The Santa Fe Mountain Center is an organization that builds futures and changes lives. We challenge people to be amazing! We challenge you, our supporters, and others who may be interested in what we do to step up and give to our organization in support of our mission. It is only with your financial gifts that we can continue to lead in our field and develop our programming to serve the ever-changing needs of the populations we serve state-wide.
