An Internship with SFMCThe Santa Fe Mountain Center is looking for interns who are highly motivated and dedicated individuals who want to develop their skills using adventure education to change the lives of our participants.
We offer a broad, well-rounded internship experience. We can tailor each internship to meet the needs of your professional development as well as your academic requirements.
What We Can Offer Interns- A minimum three-month internship with the following benefits:
- Experience and training in facilitation, processing, program planning, program evaluation, group management, challenge/ropes courses, adventure activities, administration, and logistics.
- Exposure to a variety of client populations.
- Direct supervision to help you meet your academic requirements.
- Supervision from a M.S., CTRS or LPCC.
- Monthly stipend.
- Pro-Purchase deals.
Qualifications
- Formal education or equivalent field experience in experiential education.
- Experience with group facilitation and processing.
- Experience leading programs in at least one of the following activities: challenge courses, rock climbing and rappelling, backpacking, front country camping, or white water rafting.
- Minimum of current CPR and First Aid certification. WFA/WFR preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Basic computer and word processing skills.
