Whitewater Raft GuideJob Duties:
Function as a whitewater raft guide (paddle and/or oar rig) on SFMC river trips, including multi-day wilderness trips on the Rio Chama and single day trips on the Rio Chama Day Section and the Rio Grande Racecourse. Ensure the safety of clients both on and off the river. Assist SFMC staff with client and group management, facilitation, logistics, and overall safety. On trip duties also include care and management of boats and equipment, meal preparation and oversight.
Qualifications:
Must have significant documented whitewater guiding experience. Must be culturally competent and responsible, as well as have the ability to build trust and rapport with a variety of populations, including adjudicated youth, at-risk youth, LGBTQ youth/adults, and people living with HIV/AIDS. Ensures that all SFMC policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Consistently follows ethical guidelines as stated in the SFMC Policies and Procedures Handbook and follows all safety and risk management guidelines stated in the Risk Management and Safety Plan. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check and possess a clean driving record. Must have CPR and First Aid (or higher training, such as WFA/WFR/etc).
Pay Scale: $100-$140 per day, DOE

You must also attend the MANDATORY guide meeting on Friday, April 4 at 3PM at the SFMC office in Tesuque.
